Student Board Requirements:
Must attend the SGLA Annual Conference in Atlanta, GA in February 2026.
Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student in good standing with your college or university.
Must not graduate prior to Spring 2026.
Must be endorsed or supported by your college or university to represent the institution on the Executive Board.
Must be able to participate in monthly conference calls.
Be prepared to attend the SGLA Summer Board Meeting in Atlanta June 20-22, 2025
The SGLA Student Board Application Will Ask You To Include The Following:
Current resume including leadership experiences, with fraternity and sorority life as well as outside fraternity and sorority life;
Brief statement of why you should be selected for this role. Please explain any regional/national conference experience you have attended previously, any experience on planning programs or a conference, and any ideas that you have for council-specific programs and developing an all-inclusive experience. (1,000 words);
Suitable photograph to be used for the website (pictures could be headshots but should only be of you) Note: SGLA reserves the right to refuse any non-suitable photographs; and
Letter of support from current Fraternity/Sorority Adviser (must be a campus professional who works with fraternities and sororities; no graduate students can write the letter)
